Elevate your Safety and Health Program

by onboarding and educating your team with our Physical Preparation eLearning Course.

Our Physical Training, for your Safety and Health Program, puts your people first by teaching them how to be physically prepared in three important areas.

A complete safety and health program should incorporate mobility and flexibility

Stay Loose

This course teaches about the importance of keeping your muscles and joints loose.

Muscles and joints become tight during work. Because of this, you can begin to walk like a mummy, all tight and bandaged up.

For freight handlers, that means they can’t do their job without putting their safety and health at risk.

A complete safety and health program should incorporate proper posture

Proper Posture

This course teaches about how to adjust and hold proper posture.

Moving freight with poor posture is like building a house using sticks for framing instead of wooden studs; When you add weight, eventually something’s going to break.

For freight handlers, that means they can’t move freight correctly, without putting their safety and health at risk.

A complete safety and health program should incorporate strength

Strength

This course teaches about how to have strength, and then apply that strength to moving freight. Because without adequate strength, our bodies would be just a pile of bones.

To move freight you can’t be just a pile of bones. Instead, you need to be strong enough to lift, push, step, pull, and place freight overhead everyday.

For freight handlers, that means they need proper strength to keep their safety and health protected.

The Facts

Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) affect the muscles, nerves, blood vessels, ligaments and tendons. Workers in many different industries and occupations can be exposed to risk factors at work, such as lifting heavy items, bending, reaching overhead, pushing and pulling heavy loads, working in awkward body postures and performing the same or similar tasks repetitively. Exposure to these known risk factors for MSDs increases a worker’s risk of injury.

The information in our course was created to help prevent these Musculoskeletal Disorders.

Workplace Injury Statistics

This average worker’s compensation claim cost calculated across all industries is $40,000 according to Insureon.com. This number is on the low end for higher risk positions including freight handlers.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Statistics:

  • The number one reason for the loss of work due to incidence of injury or illness was because of overexertion or bodily reaction.
  • MSD cases accounted for 33% of all worker injury and illness cases.1
  • According to the U.S. Dept. of Labor, work-related MSDs are among the the most reported causes of lost or restricted work time.

Incorporate our physical training into your safety and health program so you can help prevent Musculoskeletal Disorders

Accountability, with real-time access to course activity.

While the exercises and direction is all crucial information to remain safe and injury free on the job, there needs to be an effective model for its delivery, which is where our Hold Strong Solution comes into play.

Our Solution provides the opportunity for:

  1. Success through Support and Encouragement . We work with the company as a whole to make sure there is company wide support, from upper management down through each individual.

  2. Live Launch and Presentation: When we go live, we launch with an In-Person or Online Zoom live presentation, sharing all of the good things to come.

  3. Daily interactive educational course. Our solution creates provides a 4-week learning course that provides progressive and fundamental instruction and activity every working day, This repetition helps to create a lasting habit of taking time to stay loose, watch posture, and be strong.  Following the initial 4-weeks, organizations and individual can continue with our Solution by participation in monthly membership and continued new content participation.

  4. Micro-learning: We get it, company teams don’t have all day to learn about mobility, posture, and strength. That’s why we’ve created short 4 minute audio/video direction to guide individuals through their days education and activity, followed by a short 2-4 question quiz to prove participation and proficiency.
  1. Participation and accountability. Organizations are able to track and reward participation with a Hold Strong Organization Management Page. This management page provides the ability to track participation, progress, quizzes, and then create reports accordingly.
